Autism Testing Services
Lighthouse Autism Center now offers standardized autism evaluations at all of our locations to encourage early intervention. Our expert clinical team includes licensed psychologists, social workers, mental health counselors, and BCBAs to help your family through every step of the treatment process with our Goshen, IN, ABA therapy services and other autism-related programs.
If you think your child has missed important developmental opportunities or is showing any other signs of autism, our evaluation team is here to help. We’ll help you gather the necessary paperwork, schedule appointments, and guide you through the assessment process.
To uphold our autism center’s safety guidelines, you’ll start with a virtual parent interview conducted by our in-house psychologist or another licensed autism professional.
Following the virtual consultation, you and your child will come in for an in-person evaluation with a qualified BCBA or one of our other licensed technicians to complete an autism assessment.
Assessments include standardized tools like the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS-2) or the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2).
The evaluation usually takes about an hour, during which our clinician will observe and interact with your child through play-based activities.
After the assessment, our in-house psychologist will follow up with you to explain the results, discuss any diagnoses, and talk through recommendations for next steps.
