The Lighthouse Bridge Program: Supporting Continued Growth and Independence

At Lighthouse Autism Center, we believe every child deserves support that evolves alongside their needs. As children grow, gain new skills, and become more independent, their therapy needs often change. That’s why we created the Lighthouse Bridge Program, designed for children who continue to benefit from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy while thriving with a more flexible schedule.

Rather than viewing therapy as an all-or-nothing decision, the Bridge Program provides ongoing support tailored to each child’s current goals. It helps children continue making meaningful progress while participating in school, family life, community activities, and other important experiences.

Meeting Children Where They Are

For many children, starting school is an important step toward greater independence. While this milestone is worth celebrating, some children continue to benefit from ABA therapy to strengthen communication, social, daily living, and adaptive skills.

The Bridge Program is designed for children who are attending school, becoming more independent, or transitioning from a more intensive therapy schedule. It provides continued support while allowing flexibility for school, family commitments, extracurricular activities, and community involvement.

At Lighthouse, our goal is to help children build skills that support success not only in therapy, but also in the environments where they learn, grow, and connect with others every day.

What Is the Lighthouse Bridge Program?

The Lighthouse Bridge Program provides individualized ABA therapy designed around a child’s current strengths, needs, and goals.

Each child enrolled in the program receives:

  • Individualized ABA therapy
  • One-on-one support from a trained therapist
  • Personalized treatment goals based on a comprehensive clinical assessment
  • Ongoing progress monitoring and data-driven decision making
  • Family collaboration and support
  • A therapy schedule tailored to the child’s unique needs

Who Can Benefit from the Bridge Program?

While every child is unique, the Bridge Program may be a good fit for children who:

  • Attend school and benefit from receiving therapy outside of school hours
  • Are developing greater independence and need support with advancing skills
  • Continue working on communication, social skills, flexibility, daily living skills, or other individualized goals
  • Benefit from ongoing ABA therapy while balancing school, extracurricular activities, family commitments, and community involvement

Determining whether the Bridge Program is the right fit begins with a comprehensive clinical assessment.

Individualized Therapy Recommendations

At Lighthouse Autism Center, we do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to care.

Following a comprehensive assessment, our clinical team works closely with families to determine an appropriate therapy schedule based on:

  • Assessment results
  • Individual goals
  • Clinical needs
  • Family availability

This collaborative process ensures that therapy recommendations are both clinically appropriate and practical for the child and family.

Bridging Today’s Successes to a Lifetime of Growth

At Lighthouse Autism Center, our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers children and supports families. The Bridge Program reflects that commitment by helping children continue building important skills as they grow more independent.

The Bridge Program provides a meaningful next step for children who are succeeding in school or transitioning from a more intensive therapy schedule. With flexible scheduling options, families can continue receiving therapeutic support while balancing school, extracurricular activities, family commitments, and other important experiences.

By providing continued support that fits alongside a child’s evolving routine, the Bridge Program helps ensure progress does not stop at a milestone. It helps children gain confidence, strengthen independence, and continue developing the skills they need to succeed at home, at school, and in their communities.
