Our clinical team has a wealth of educational and professional experience with autism spectrum disorders. They have been working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders from ages 1 to 80, for the last four to eight years. The entire clinical team has at least a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, special education, or clinical psychology. We have six full time board certified behavior analysts (BCBA) on our clinical team who have worked in almost every type of program: Clinics, residential homes, public schools, center-based, and in-home programs, to name a few.
The clinical team is made up of a Clinical Director, nine Program Managers, and many Therapists, who have some shared, and some separate, responsibilities. These three levels of staff work closely together to ensure the best ABA treatment possible for your children.
Some of the clinical director’s responsibilities include developing quality ongoing training for program managers and therapists, child intake, and community outreach. The director spends a majority of their time observing children, and monitoring their programs and behavior intervention programs (BIPs) to ensure they are appropriate and implemented appropriately.
The program managers conduct skill assessments, functional behavior assessments (FBA), write BIPs, goals, and insurance reports based on the findings, and train the therapists to implement the programs. They then analyze data on the children’s behaviors, make BIP and goal revisions accordingly, monitor therapists working with the children, and report on all of this to the insurance companies, and more importantly, the parents.
The therapists are working directly with your child for 40 hours per week. They implement behavior and acquisition programs, record data, and provide feedback to the program managers and clinical director. All of our therapists have at least a bachelor’s degree and go through constant ongoing training to ensure the highest quality therapy. We’re also lucky to have a group of therapists who are all very passionate about working with those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, and have been doing so for as long as 8 years.
With this versatile, well-trained clinical team implementing the ever-so powerful techniques of applied behavior analysis, you can never go wrong!
