The Lighthouse Approach
ABA therapy at Lighthouse is delivered through a collaborative and integrated model, combining elements of learning in fun, activity-based sessions. Lighthouse was founded by parents of an autistic child, and that perspective still rings true in how our programs’ care is structured.
- Each child receives individualized therapy, supported by a multidisciplinary team of BCBAs, SLPs, and registered behavior technicians working together throughout the program.
- We make sure our team can prioritize smaller caseloads so they can offer one-on-one sessions while maintaining continuity.
- Alongside ABA therapy, our Lighthouse Fusion® programs provide integrated speech therapy support and autism diagnostic testing.
- Caregiver involvement is supported through regular check-ins and training.
- When appropriate, support may also extend into the home or community.
- Families are guided through enrollment with help from a dedicated outreach and insurance team.
Lighthouse Fusion®
Lighthouse Fusion® integrates speech therapy into everyday ABA therapy rather than separating it. Elements are combined to allow learners to practice throughout the day, carrying skills into playtime, learning, and other moments. Over time, this supports meaningful progress toward communication goals, confidence, and independence while keeping therapy flexible and engaging.
Diagnostic Services
Autism diagnostic evaluations are readily available at all Lighthouse Autism Centers in Indiana and surrounding states. Families with early concerns for their child’s developmental progress could be dealing with underlying autism symptoms, and early intervention is best. Start the evaluation process by reaching out to our autism evaluation team, who will help you complete the necessary documentation and arrange an autism evaluation.
A licensed clinical team, including clinical psychologists, social workers, board-certified behavioral analysts, and mental health counselors, will be involved in the diagnostic process.
What to Expect During the Evaluation Process
The process starts with a virtual interview where parents meet with a licensed psychologist or other qualified professional. From there, an in-person evaluation is scheduled at one of our centers. After the appointment, a licensed psychologist reviews the findings and future steps with the family.
During the visit, the child meets with a qualified autism specialist for about an hour. Standardized assessments include the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS 2) and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2), along with observation and play-based interaction.
