Mother’s Day

Ally did something amazing this weekend! Yesterday morning she woke up and said “Mommy what day is it” with a huge grin on her face.  I told her it was Sunday and she said, “No Mommy, what other day is it….it’s your day!”  She remembered on her own.  Robert was really sick all weekend and neither of us had talked to her about it being Mother’s day.  She told me she was going to put on a show for me.  She has never done this before.  She dressed Isaac up as a a dragon (last year’s dinosaur Halloween costume) and she dressed up as Sleeping Beauty.  Ally must have told Isaac what to do before coming out because it was definitely planned.  Ally pricked her finger on Isaac’s dinosaur horns and fell asleep.  Then Isaac kissed her knee and she woke up:)  Then Ally sang in her highest soprano voice and Isaac tackled her.  It was awesome! She went from lining up all her toys a year ago to now putting on shows. I love her imagination! This was the first time she did something for me because she wanted to make my day special.  In the past it’s always been prompted by someone else and never genuinely from the heart.  She was so sweet all day yesterday and kept reminding me “Mommy, it’s your day!”.  It was the best Mother’s day ever!!!
